Inaugural 'Office Facilities Consultants Conference' (OFCC)

It was a special night for the Office Fit-out Industry as the panelists - Office Facility Managers (FM), Designers and Project Managers (PM) - share their knowledge, expertise and experiences in an open discussion setting.

MAC Management Inc.’s CEO, Jommel Macabagdal, opened the event discussing the Office Fit-out Guide which aimed to help Real Estate leaders in managing expectations in the industry. He shared cost per area of BPOs, Traditional and Agile Offices. The recommended timeline for Traditional (Design-Bid-Build) and Design-Build delivery approach were also presented. He then showcased the ‘Construction Project Management Cheat Sheet’ and provided tips on how the PM should manage the 10+2 Knowledge Areas.

Panel discussion with Top Workplace Designers followed after a short ice breaker session. The panelists were distinguished Architects Jojo Catipon, Joel Golimlim, Jerome Lopez and Donn Tan. The fun and intuitive session was moderated by Ms. Mary Anne Medenilla. Design Trends, Technology (AI) and Tips for aspiring designers were among the topics.

The next session was a vibrant conversation with FM Industry leaders. The panelists were Anselmo Aldana, Christian Bautista, Bien Cruz, and Michelle Tagapan which was moderated by Juan Antonio Luna. FM traits, Best Practices and their asks to Designers & PMs were lively discussed.

This conference helped to have better understanding between PMs, Designers and FMs regarding their point of view in delivering successful office projects. The discussions led to sharing of stories that either good or bad, the audience definitely learned from.
